Fashion is forever around us- surrounding us and surviving us. Documenting fashion, new and old, makes it possible for us to understand how it relates to us as humans and how it always has. While some garments reveal faded colors, markings, and nicks that speak to how well-loved it was by its owner, some garments live in pristine and customized conditions that simply help to serve as artifacts of our history of dress. The connections and differentiations we make between archival or past eras of dress and our day to day lives are what inspires me to keep creating and picturing fashion in a new, tangible and interactive way.
